President’s Message

Dear ILSSAMT Members,

I wish you all a happy, healthy, and prosperous 2026. As we begin the new year, I would like to reflect on the past year and express my sincere appreciation to each of you for your continued commitment and support of our State Society. I would also like to express my heartfelt gratitude to our ILSSAMT State Leaders and Board for their unwavering support and collaboration. Your dedication, participation, and involvement have played a vital role in the continued progress and success of our society’s work.

The year 2025 was marked by growth and shared achievements. Through your service, advocacy, and participation, we enhanced member engagement, delivered high-quality continuing education, and maintained strong representation at both the district and national levels. Together, we operated responsibly, remained fiscally sound, and continued to expand opportunities for professional development.

Key accomplishments from 2025 include:

  • Conducted productive and well-structured ILSSAMT business meetings
  • Prepared comprehensive President’s reports and the ILSSAMT annual budget
  • Managed ILSSAMT operations responsibly, remaining well below the approved budget
  • Delivered six highly successful Continuing Education (CE) session
  • Welcomed four new members to the ILSSAMT Board: Alicia Taylor, Maria Padilla, Pamela Lago, and Rose Ann Malcerak
  • Implemented the ILSSAMT CE Survey to better align educational offerings with member needs
  • Strengthened member involvement and engagement across the organization
  • Contributed significantly to the success of the Great Lakes District Conference (GLDC) in Frankenmuth, Michigan
  • Increased ILSSAMT representation at the AMT Annual Meeting in St. Louis, Missouri
  • Chaired and actively participated in AMT National Committees
  • Recognized Josephine Hardin as the AMT Silver Service Award recipient

As we proceed into 2026, I remain committed to fostering strong connections, supporting our members, and upholding the values that guide our State Society. I encourage you to remain engaged and participate in our upcoming events:

  • ILSSAMT Spring Continuing Education and Business Meeting – April 25, 2026

Our Mission

Our mission is to promote the National Standards for Allied Health Professionals within the State of Illinois, to provide opportunities to increase medical and technical knowledge for our members, and to support both National and State organizational goals.
