President's Message

As 2024 quickly is coming to a close it’s time to look at what GASSAMT has planned for 2025. Our next meeting will be held in McDonough, GA at the Hilton Garden Inn. The BOD will meet Friday, March 14, and the educational and business meetings will be held Saturday, March 15.

At our September meeting this year new officers were elected:

  • President - Peggy Oiler
  • Vice President - Chantal Jordan
  • Secretary - Jasmine Green
  • Treasurer - Diana Kendrick
  • BOD Members at Large - William Donald lll and Brequeisha Minnigan

Welcome aboard to our new and returning members!

We are currently working on updating our By-Laws and SOP and will have more information available at our March meeting. Delegates to the 2025 Annual Meeting in Pittsburgh will be elected at the March meeting. Our fall meeting site will also be selected then.

As the holiday season approaches your officers want to wish you a happy, safe, and wonderful holiday.

Upcoming dates to remember:
March 14 & 15, 2025 - Spring meeting McDonough, GA
July 21-25, 2025 - Annual Business Meeting Pittsburgh, PA
September 25 -26, 2026 - Magnolia Educational Treasures meeting, Mobile AL

GASSAMT lost a good friend, Joyce Matthews, wife of former GASSAMT President Marvin Matthews this past September. Please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

I want to thank our members for allowing me to serve as your president again. Please do not hesitate to contact me or any of your officers with questions, concerns, or suggestions to improve our state society events. See you in March!

Peggy Oiler, MLS (AMT)
GASSAMT President
