President's Message
Dear Colleagues,
As we approach the end of the year, I would like to extend warm greetings to our members and take a moment to reflect on the many accomplishments achieved across our society. Your continued engagement, professionalism, and dedication to allied health have made this a successful and rewarding year.
One of the highlights of the year was the highly successful Annual Meeting held July 21–24, 2025, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, at the Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh Downtown. Allied health professionals from across the country came together, including medical laboratory scientists, medical assistants, dental assistants, phlebotomists, allied health instructors, and many others. Attendees earned continuing education (CE) credits on timely laboratory issues, emerging concepts and discoveries, management and leadership topics, hands-on laboratory skills, and professional networking. The meeting also included important society business, such as the elections to the American Medical Technologists Board of Directors, a Town Hall, Business Meeting, and District Meetings. The 2026 Annual Meeting program is being planned and will be held in Columbus, Ohio, July 21-24, 2026. Location is to be announced soon. You don’t want to miss this, so save the date!
The North Carolina State Society of AMT (NCSSAMT), part of the Southern District, continues to be actively engaged under the leadership of our Southern District Councillor, Anna Catron. The NCSSAMT Fall Board of Directors meeting was successfully held via Zoom on November 3, 2025. Our next Board of Directors meeting is scheduled for April 26, 2026, with the location to be determined.
Looking ahead, registration is now open for Magnolia Education Treasures, to be held September 25–26, 2026, at the Renaissance Mobile Riverview Plaza Hotel, 64 S. Water Street, Mobile, Alabama. This promises to be an outstanding educational and networking opportunity, offering valuable CE sessions, meaningful professional connections, and plenty of fun.
Thank you for your continued commitment to NCSSAMT and the allied health professions. I encourage you to stay engaged, participate in upcoming events, and join us in Mobile for an exceptional educational experience. The link can be found under state meetings on the AMT website.
Happy Holidays!
