President’s Message

Dear ILSSAMT Members,

After a short span of winter, we embraced early spring and now experience temperature fluctuations. I hope this message finds you in serenity amidst the weather turmoil. At our December meeting, the annual audit was accomplished. We also revised our state bylaws and SOP, which will be shared with all of you shortly.

With excitement, I want to reveal that our ILSSAMT Spring CE and Business Meeting will be held on April 26, 2024, at Elgin Community College in Elgin, IL.

The agenda for the day is as follows:

  • 7:00 am - 8:15 am: Breakfast
  • 8:15 am - 8:30 am: Introduction
  • 8:30 am - 9:30 am: Making your Patients Smile, Brett O'Donnell
  • 9:30 am - 10:30 am: Active Shooter Response - Workplace Violence, Rick Demierre
  • 10:30 am - 11:30 am: Insights into Population Health Management: Leveraging Data Analytics for Preventive Care and Chronic Disease Management, Gabrielle Buxton
  • 11:30 am - 12:00 pm: Lunch
  • 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm: An Overview of Rare and Obscure Lab Results, Donna Mohammadi Oroujeh
  • 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm: Changes in Vocational Education Post COVID, Dr. Olga Gusak
  • 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm: Women Heart, Dr. Nushrat Jahan
  • 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm: Business Meeting

Attendance is free, but registration is required. The registration link will be sent to all members in the form of an email blast from AMT. Besides attaining continuing education, you will get the privilege to network, join our business meeting, and elect delegates for the AMT Annual Meeting. The AMT Annual Meeting will be hosted in St. Louis, Missouri, July 8-12, 2024.
