Thanks for checking in on the Kentucky AMT state society page! Kentucky had a great time at the AMT Annual Meeting in Norfolk, VA. The educational sessions were very informative, and the welcome party and awards dinner was a good time. It is always great to see our AMT family from across the country. The KYSSAMT Board is working hard to finish the year by planning the fall educational meeting, business meeting, Board elections, and awards. See below for details.
Fall Educational Session
We are working on the KY fall educational meeting. The meeting will be held in the southeast KY area; we are looking at the Middlesboro, KY, Knox Co, or Williamsburg campuses. Stay tuned for more information in the coming weeks; we have a tentative date of Oct. 27 & 28th. Our fall business meeting will be held at the same time, during lunch on Saturday. We encourage all KY AMT members to attend. I want to thank Dana Mills and Mary (Leann) Turner for assisting us with planning our meeting. Dana and Leann are instructors in the area and were speakers at our Magnolia Educational Treasurers in 2022.
Board of Directors Elections
It’s that time of year again for our state Board of Directors elections. The elections will take place during the business meeting on Saturday. We are seeking nominations for the open positions of KY state president and two members at large; please get in touch with nomination committee chair Yvonne Hermann through firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions about serving on the board, nominations, or the election.
As you may know, I was elected to serve on the national AMT Board of Directors in Norfolk at the Annual Meeting. I am excited to represent all the AMT members. However, I will step down as your KY state society president while serving on the national board. Thank you for being so supportive while serving as your president. It has been a wonderful and rewarding experience and a pleasure to work with such a talented group of people.

Thank you for allowing me to serve as your president.
