President's Message

As we close and start a new year, I would like to thank all the members of the New Mexico State Society for their continued support to American Medical Technologists (AMT) and wish you all happy holidays and a joyous New Year.

Welcome to the New Mexico web site. We try to keep web site updated with the upcoming dates and events to remember. Hope this finds everyone well and safe.

Dates to remember for 2026. The spring meeting for the State society is scheduled for April 18th, and the fall meeting is scheduled for September 26th. Both meetings to be held at the Pima Medical Institute at 4400 Cutler Ave NE in Albuquerque. At each meeting we have scheduled some continuing education, to help individuals maintain AMT status. We also conduct business pertaining to the state society during lunchtime. We provide lunch for those who attend.

Another date to remember is the National Meeting. It is being held in Columbus, Ohio in 2026. Dates are from Tuesday July 21st to Friday July 24. If you are able to attend, you can earn up to 15 hours for your continuing education. Plus, you have the benefit of making new friends and getting to know members from every state and from the Caribbean Islands. Speaking of the Caribbean Islands, the National Meeting for 2027 will be held in the Caribbean. More information to follow as it becomes available.

I would like to thank Pima Medical Institute and your Instructor/member Lisa Gabaldon for assisting in putting our meetings together. It is with her help we have a place to hold our meetings.
