Eastern District Councillor’s Message
Greetings AMT family! It was a joy reuniting in Norfolk, Virginia with the membership during various events and continuing education sessions at the 2023 Annual Meeting. Let us extend our gratitude to Kenneth Hawker, MLS, AMT past President, and Deborah Westervelt, RMA, COLT, AMT Board Member for their contributions and services to the AMT membership and organization.

Mark your calendars, for the 2024 Annual Meeting in St Louis, Missouri July 8 – 12, at the Hyatt Regency St Louis at the Arch. Please do not make any reservations, wait until the AMT office has provided the proper link and posted it on the website along with pricing and further information.
The 2025 Annual Meeting will take place at the Eastern District and the 2026 Annual Meeting at the Great Lakes District. Just like you, I am also wondering where the next meeting will be held in these districts. Stay tuned for more information.
Please remember to always check out your State Society website for information about the next meeting. It is also important to review and update the information on your personal profile and enter all CE earned throughout the year in the AMTrax at the AMT website.
Congratulations to the healthcare workers, as we take a moment to recognize the RMAs. Medical Assistants are a valuable link in providing quality care within a phenomenal healthcare group in various health facilities.
