President's Message
Rocky Mountain State Society has been off to a great start for 2023! Colorado, Wyoming, and most of the nation have been experiencing winter storms, active cold and flu season, but never fear your Board has been working hard to start of the new term with extra planning and preparation to make your state society more active and engaged for its membership- that means that “you” can expect more communication, information and meetings to provide more of an opportunity for you. Some of our efforts are focused around providing ahead of date planning with a maintained calendar of events, planning activities for engaging students and involvement in state meetings, and re-organizing committee to be more accountable to membership and Board for Society activities. This was accomplished by a Board Retreat to focus on these planning activities to provide bylaws are updated to include more accurate language and information related to Rocky Mountain’s current policies and procedures, as well.
Our next national meeting will be held this July in Norfolk, VA, and we will be looking to get delegates signed up for this meeting, at our upcoming meeting this Spring in Casper, WY. Please look for any news related to this in our upcoming e-blast related to all delegate information, committee signup information, and other important society news. I speak not just for myself but the rest of the board- See you in Casper! Let’s make this year one to remember.
Sincerely,
Tyler Porterfield, RMA (AMT), BBA
