President's Message

I hope everyone is having a wonderful year so far and is staying healthy. I would like to congratulate our two national award winners for 2023. Salimata Kone-Coulibaly, MLS will receive the Exceptional Merit and Lenise Singleton will receive the Distinguished Achievement during this year's Annual Meeting in St. Louis.

ALSSAMT will be holding its Spring Scientific Educational meeting and business meeting on April 13, 2024, at Chattahoochee Valley Community College. Registration will begin at 7:45 AM (EDT). Members are $30.00, Non-members $35.00, Students and Military are $15.00 and guests are $25.00. Please plan to attend as we will be voting on bylaw changes as well as electing delegates to the Annual Meeting in St. Louis Missouri. You must attend the business meeting if you want to be a delegate. If you are new and have any questions about being a delegate, please contact me. Don’t delay and go to the meeting page of the website to register by April 10, 2024. Snacks and lunch will be provided so I need an accurate count and don’t forget to include dietary restrictions when registering.

The 2024 AMT Annual Meeting will be held July 8-12, 2024, at the Hyatt Regency St. Louis at the Arch, St. Louis, Missouri. Please plan to join us as we will have fantastic speakers to earn CEUs and social events where you will have a chance to mingle and get to know your peers. We have a great time and are excited to see new faces as well as old friends.

Magnolia Educational Treasurers will be held September 19-22, 2024, at the Sheraton Orlando North Lake. We will hold our Business and Board meetings during that time as well. You will have two days to earn continuing education during the MET. Please plan to attend to come meet new friends and have a good time with us.

Please be aware of scams. I will never send you an email asking for money or a gift card. There are several scams out there so please beware. If you aren’t sure of an AMT email you receive, please contact the email address below and I will be happy to assist you.

We look forward to a wonderful year and hope to meet with you soon! Please email me at with any questions, comments, or concerns.
