President's Message
Greetings ALSSAMT Members, Colleagues, and Friends,
Welcome to the Alabama State Society of American Medical Technologists (ALSSAMT)! It is a privilege to continue to serve as your President and to thank each of you for your continued dedication to our profession and our society.
Following a successful Spring Meeting, our Board remains committed to increasing member engagement, expanding educational opportunities, supporting students and new professionals, and strengthening connections across Alabama. Your ideas and feedback are invaluable, and we encourage you to share where you would like to see future meetings, workshops, and networking events hosted as we continue serving members throughout the state.
This summer, ALSSAMT proudly represented Alabama at the AMT National Annual Meeting in Columbus, Ohio, where we joined healthcare professionals from across the country for outstanding education, leadership development, and networking. We encourage all members to join the AMT Communities page to stay informed with the latest ALSSAMT news, announcements, and opportunities.
Our next event is the Magnolia Educational Treasures (MET) 2026, which also serves as the ALSSAMT Fall Meeting.

During the MET Business Meeting on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at 7:00 PM, delegates will be elected to represent Alabama at the 2027 AMT Annual Meeting & CASMET Joint Meeting in Barbados (August 9-12, 2027). Delegate positions are limited, and eligible members are encouraged to attend and participate. The link will be provided at a later date.
