What an exciting time for the North Carolina State Society of American Medical Technologists! I hope everyone is enjoying the fall season and looking forward to the educational and professional opportunities ahead.
Magnolia Educational Treasures
NCSSAMT was pleased to participate in the Magnolia Educational Treasures (MET) meeting held September 25–26, 2026, at the Renaissance Mobile Riverview Plaza Hotel in Mobile, Alabama. The meeting brought AMT professionals together for fellowship, networking, and continuing education.
Both Board of Directors and business meetings were held during the event, along with an outstanding educational program featuring 21 scientific sessions for AMT professionals in attendance. We appreciate everyone who participated and helped make the meeting a success.
Save the Date – VA/NC Clinical ColLABoration!
Mark your calendars for the VA/NC Clinical ColLABoration!, scheduled for Saturday, March 20, 2027, at the West Piedmont Higher Education Center in Martinsville, Virginia.
This special event is a joint meeting of the North Carolina and Virginia State Societies of American Medical Technologists, bringing members from both states together for continuing education, professional networking, collaboration, and fellowship.
We are excited to continue building connections between our two state societies and strengthening the AMT community across North Carolina and Virginia. We invite you to save the date and plan to join us! Additional information regarding the educational program, speakers, and registration will be shared as plans are finalized.

AMT Annual Meeting – Barbados!
Looking even further ahead, get your passports ready! The next AMT Annual Meeting will be held August 9–12, 2027, in beautiful Bridgetown, Barbados, at the Wyndham Grand Barbados Sam Lord’s Castle.
This promises to be an exciting opportunity to combine professional development, continuing education, networking, and fellowship with AMT colleagues in a beautiful Caribbean setting.
A passport is required for travel to Barbados, so members interested in attending are encouraged to make sure their passports are current or begin the application process early.
Registration and resort booking links are expected to open in late November or early December 2026. Watch for additional information and make plans to join AMT colleagues for education, professional networking, fellowship, and an unforgettable experience in Barbados!
