President's Message

Welcome fellow Utah state society members!

I am Terry Smith, current President of UTSSAMT, and I am honored to serve you in this role. I bring with me a strong commitment to fostering growth, professionalism, and a sense of belonging within our society. Together, we are building a well-functioning state society that empowers members to enhance their leadership skills and strengthen their professional networks.

A special welcome goes out to our newest members of AMT and, more specifically, UTSSAMT. I invite you to get involved—there are many opportunities to volunteer or even run for elected positions. You can also participate in our biannual conferences, where you’ll not only earn continuing education credits but also connect with peers, exchange ideas, and make lifelong friendships.

Why get involved? Because it’s rewarding, fun, and a great way to grow. From professional development and networking to leadership opportunities and the chance to serve as a delegate to the National Conference, there is something for everyone. We had a fantastic time at the 2025 National Conference in Pittsburgh, and we look forward to the 2026 Conference in Columbus, Ohio.
