President's Message

Welcome, Spring!

WVSSAMT members are ready for the new season! We recently hosted our spring scientific meeting, which offered two continuing education units (CEUs) focused on preanalytical variables in point-of-care testing and the use of whole blood in transfusion medicine. The meeting also provided valuable opportunities for professional networking and encouraged participation from students in AMT-certified healthcare programs.

Looking ahead, the AMT Annual Meeting will be held in Columbus, Ohio, from July 21–24. WVSSAMT will be represented by delegates Janet Crigler, Sherri Craddock, Kim Cheuvront, and Melissa White. WVSSAMT Vice President and National AMT Board Vice President Michael Waide will also be in attendance.

I encourage all members to attend the AMT Annual Meeting. If you were unable to join us for the spring scientific meeting, we hope you’ll make plans to attend a future event.
