- Elect your delegates for 2027 at your Fall meetings if possible. Yes, we all know life happens and plans change, but if you are wanting to and planning to attend the 2027 Annual meeting in Barbados, put forth those delegate names.
- Make sure your dues is paid up and if close to expiration for the trip to Barbados (i.e. due June, July, or August) pay it to be in good standing.
- Passports:
- If you do not have one, get it started immediately.
- Check your passport expiration date. It must not expire before 15 February 2028. (It must be valid for 6 months before your trip.)
- Please go to your AMT Portals or Community library and check out the new AMT Policies.
- Will need to do your State Society Budgets for Fiscal year 2027. (1 Oct. 2026 through 31 Sept. 2027)
- Make sure to update your AMT resume/CV using the new format. The form is now available on the Community blog in the library. It is the members’ responsibility to keep their AMT resume updated and ready to present an award nomination if requested. The form will be uploaded in the Award JOT form.
- Award Packets are due NLT midnight 30 November 2026.
- Start reviewing your members for deserving awards and eligibility
- Double check those dates of eligibility. Remember year end is 31 December
- Do not wait till the last minute to submit
- Check that you received confirmation and a returned PDF of the document for your records.
- Good Practices: start requesting a list of the individuals who recently certified with AMT and email them. Introduce yourself and board members, invite them to your next meeting. Let’s try and get some young members interested in becoming involved with AMT and their State Societies.
- The pause has been pushed out for a year. You will still need to conduct your BOD’s and Business meetings, preferably via a virtual format. No CE requirements during the pause. Let’s start now thinking about what lays a head of us and how we can help our state’s societies improve, grow, and what they may need to remain active and productive. This is our opportunity to put forth those good practices, remove the constraints, and help improve AMT.
With great appreciation for all you do,
Susan E. Constable MLS AMT MLT ASCP
Eastern District Councilor
