Greetings, Virginia AMT!

We are more than halfway through the year. Soon we will be turning our hearts towards the holidays! The AMT 2026 Annual Meeting was a great success. We greeted new delegates and good friends. It was great to see everyone. Well-deserving individuals were acknowledged with awards for their hard work this year. Well, now it is on to our Magnolia Educational Treasures, MET, meeting in Mobile, Alabama. The excitement is growing with each passing week.

This is another opportunity for CEs to expand your knowledge in so many areas. The Virginia State Society of AMT hopes to see you at our MET this September 25th and 26th.

We had a virtual meet and greet last month, and we will be having another one soon! Look for the announcements, and we hope to see you on the Zoom chat. Log in and get to know your VASSAMT board members and become an active member of society!

We are committed to our AMT mission as well as our state society motto:

To endorse and promote high-quality standards in healthcare in laboratory services, as well as medical assisting, dental assisting, phlebotomy, and other clinical and administrative services in the great Commonwealth of Virginia. To provide current technical, clinical, and administrative knowledge and support at the national and state levels.

To have a vigorous outreach to schools and students, encouraging them to be active members of the Virginia State Society. To support students in reaching their goals with information in their chosen field.

I would like to thank all the delegates from Virginia! It is always a joy and a pleasure to fellowship with great people. Let us continue together to grow our state society and invite those who may not know about us to become a part of us!
