Applicant shall have graduated with an associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (or equivalent) within the past 5 years from a program or institution accredited by NAACLS or another recognized accrediting agency.*
- Acceptable programs must include clinical rotation through the following sections of the laboratory: Blood Banking, Microbiology, Chemistry, and Hematology
A minimum of 6 months of approved clinical laboratory experience within the last 5 years is required for individuals who either:
- Graduated more than 5 years ago OR
- Graduated from a program that does NOT include an experiential component (experience must include a clinical rotation through the abovementioned sections of the laboratory)

*Program or institution must be accredited by either the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS) or another programmatic, regional, or national accrediting agency approved by the US Department of Education (DOE), the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), or otherwise approved by AMT.
