Josh Allison:

I grew up in a rural Maine town named Jay, where I graduated from Jay High School in 2009. I attended college originally after High School, however I did not know which career path was right for me. This led me to join the workforce and take some time away from college. I then began working night shift as a psychiatric technician at Northern Light Acadia Hospital. My time working at Acadia motivated me to continue my career in the medical field and return to college. I have thoroughly enjoyed the medical laboratory science program and look forward to my practicum in 2023 and my future career!

Ashley Walker:

My name is Ashley Walker and I am a senior at the University of Maine at Augusta. I will be graduating in May of 2022 with an associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology and a bachelor's degree in biology. I currently work as a medical lab assistant at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington, ME, and am excited to soon begin my journey as an MLT. Thank you so much! It is an honor to be chosen for this scholarship.
