President's Message

Dear Members,

I hope everyone had a wonderful summer. It always seems to go by way too fast here in the Northeast. Now we look forward to the beautiful Fall colors and the cool white snow of winter (not my favorite!).

I wanted to share with you some upcoming important dates for the Maine/ New Hampshire members.

The Eastern District will be hosting a virtual CE meeting on September19 from 9-12:30.

The annual Northeast Laboratory Conference is being held October 6 and 7 in Portland, Maine at the Holiday Inn by the Bay. This will be our Scientific meeting, and there will be educational sessions for everyone that AMT certifies. It is a wonderful opportunity to get those needed CEs.

Our Fall ME/NH Board of Directors and Business meeting will be held virtually via GoToMeeting in November. The date is to be determined. We would love to encourage anyone interested in becoming involved in the operations of our State Society to reach out to me or any of our Board members prior to the Business meeting. We would love to encourage more member participation. It requires a very small-time commitment that gives back many rewards!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Holiday season, and I will post updates as they become available.

I want to thank everyone for trusting me with the Presidency these past several years. I will be stepping down this year but will remain active as a Board member.
