Delany Little

My name is Delaney Little. I am a first-year MLT student at the University of Maine at Presque Isle. Upon completion of this program I plan to return to my hometown’s hospital laboratory and also begin working towards obtaining my MLS certification.

Sara Hillyard:

I’m Sara Hillyard and started my lab journey in phlebotomy getting my PBT in 2021. During that time I became curious what different pathways were available in the medical laboratory. I am currently employed at Quest Diagnostics in the microbiology department as an Medical laboratory associate. In the course of my job I am gaining experience processing, preparing, and testing patient specimens in a timely manner using current manual or automated methods. Concurrently I am working towards finishing my MLT degree through the University of Maine at Presque Isle. I am in my last semester and participating in my clinicals/practicum at Northern Light Maine Coast Hospital Laboratory. I have a love for the laboratory and the role it plays in diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of disease. I look forward to graduating in May 2023 and starting my career.
