District Councillor Message
Hello all:
I know you have been very busy with your fall meetings, and I appreciate all your hard work.
I have some information to share from the recent council meeting. There is now going to be a jot form on the website to enter your state meeting minutes and they will automatically come to me and to the executive councilor. I have received minutes from most of you for your recent meetings. If your state society has had a fall meeting and you have not sent the minutes, please go and try the new jot form to submit them.
Please be sure to get your award nominations in by the deadline of December 15, 2025.
SOPs are on hold pending the new allowable uses policy and any new finance direction. AMT has hired a new director of finance and there may be further changes. The scholarships and awards policy has not been finalized yet and please join that task force if you have concerns.
In the next state budget, states no longer need to budget an amount of money for the annual meeting hotel or travel costs- just provide the number of delegates that are attending. This will be the same process for Labvocate Day.
As you plan your next state meetings, be sure to send all meeting venue contracts to amtmeetings@americanmedtech.org.
The 2026 annual meeting will be in Columbus, Ohio July 21-24, 2026. Delegates will once again receive four nights’ hotel stay and a $400 stipend.
The 2027 annual meeting will be a joint meeting with CASMET at a location in the Caribbean. Please remind all members that plan to attend to be sure to have an in-date passport.
Please watch your email for email blasts from the national office and read your Pulse magazine to keep updated on all upcoming events. Thank you for all you do for AMT!
Nancy Barrow, MLS(AMT)(HHS),
Western District Councilor
